On Thursday, 4th December 2025, the Lead Counsel of Green Edge Attorneys, Aisha Ado Abdullahi served as one of the distinguished panelists at a National seminar themed “A Whole-of-Society Approach to the Prevention of Violence and Conflict in Northern Nigeria.” The event, organized by the National Peace Committee, in partnership with National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCT), Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), the delegation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS , convened key stakeholders from Government, Civil Society, Development Organizations, and the Community to reflect on emerging trends in conflict prevention and peacebuilding.

The Seminar drew attention to Nigeria’s complex conflict landscape, particularly in the Northwest, Northcentral, and Northeast, where banditry, herder–farmer clashes, and terrorism continue to evolve in scale and impact. The conversations highlighted the understanding that these issues are deeply connected to socio-economic exclusion, weak governance systems, environmental pressures, and rising ideological extremism, factors that collectively sustain cycles of violence across the region.

Our Lead Counsel contributed to the panel on Insights from Developmental Practice, offering practical perspectives on strengthening community structures, improving institutional responses and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms especially in favor of traditional and religious justice institutions and very importantly- integration of women and youth into conflict-prevention frameworks.
Her presentation reinforced the importance of inclusion, collaboration, dialogue, and proactive intervention in addressing Nigeria’s multidimensional security challenges.

Given her ongoing commitment to promoting peace, justice, and national unity, her participation greatly enriched the event. Her insights reflect the broader vision of Green Edge Attorneys in advancing peaceful coexistence, strengthening governance, and supporting national stability through informed legal and developmental practice.
