On April 21, 2025, the Lead Counsel, Green Edge Attorneys, Aisha Ado Abdullahi, delivered a compelling keynote address at the official reactivation of the Coalition Against Rape and Violence (CARAV). CARAV, a registered coalition of civil society organizations, includes the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN), the Rights-Based Awareness Coalition (RiBAC), and the Association of Crime Reporters. With the support of key government agencies, CARAV works at the forefront of the national effort to eliminate rape and all forms of violence.
In her address, Aisha reminded attendees that the coalition’s mission remains as urgent today as it was at its inception in the year 2011. She described the gathering not just as a meeting, but as a reawakening, a moment to reignite passion, deepen commitment, and realign strategies to create a safer society for all.
